Hood and Exhaust Cleaning

What is included in commercial kitchen hood cleaning?

Commercial kitchen hood cleaning typically focuses on the exhaust hood canopy, plenum, grease troughs and cups, and related grease-capture surfaces above the cooking line. Removable baffle filters may be cleaned when they are part of the agreed scope. Exact inclusions are confirmed when you request a quote so the visit matches your equipment and access.

How often should a commercial hood system be cleaned?

Cleaning frequency depends on cooking volume, menu and fuel type, equipment design, and any inspection or insurance requirements that apply to your kitchen. High-volume frying lines usually need more frequent attention than lighter cooking. Diamond Grade does not publish a single schedule that fits every kitchen—ask us to discuss a practical interval for your operation.

Do you clean rooftop exhaust fans?

Yes. We clean commercial kitchen exhaust fans and housings as part of commercial exhaust maintenance. This service focuses on removing grease from fan surfaces—not mechanical repair, motor replacement, or belt work unless those tasks are separately confirmed for a specific job.

Do you clean commercial grease ducts?

Yes. We clean commercial kitchen grease ducts that carry exhaust from the hood toward the rooftop fan. Work covers accessible vertical and horizontal grease-duct sections included in the work order. This is not the same service as residential or generic HVAC duct cleaning.

Scope of Work

Is this residential HVAC duct cleaning?

No. Diamond Grade specializes in commercial kitchen exhaust systems—hoods, filters, grease ducts, and rooftop exhaust fans for restaurants and other foodservice kitchens. We do not provide residential HVAC, dryer-vent, or home furnace duct cleaning.

Do you perform mechanical exhaust-fan repair?

No. Exhaust fan cleaning removes grease from blades and housings. Mechanical repair, motor replacement, and other service-technician work are outside our cleaning scope. When we notice conditions that may need follow-up, we can share notes so you can contact your preferred mechanical technician.

What types of kitchens do you serve?

We serve commercial and institutional foodservice kitchens—restaurants, bars with commercial cooking lines, hotels, schools, hospitals, nursing facilities, cafeterias, and event venues with commercial exhaust systems. If you are unsure whether your kitchen fits, describe the equipment when you request a quote.

What work is outside Diamond Grade's scope?

We do not clean residential HVAC ducts, sell or install replacement filters as a standard offering, perform mechanical exhaust-fan repair, or provide official fire or health inspections. Beer line cleaning is handled separately by our sister company, Sano Solutions, and is not a Diamond Grade exhaust service.

Does Diamond Grade provide beer-line cleaning?

No. Beer line cleaning is not a Diamond Grade kitchen exhaust service. Draft beer line cleaning is offered by our sister company, Sano Solutions, as a separate partner referral for bars and restaurants that need that work.

What is the relationship with Sano Solutions?

Sano Solutions is a sister company that specializes in professional beer line cleaning. Diamond Grade focuses on commercial kitchen hood and exhaust cleaning. The two services are separate—needing one does not automatically include the other.

Filters

Do you clean or replace grease filters?

We clean commercial kitchen grease filters that sit in the hood when they are included in the job scope. If a filter is worn, warped, or damaged, we can note the condition so you can arrange a suitable replacement through your supplier. Filter sales and installation are not a promised part of this service.

Inspection Readiness

Can cleaning guarantee an inspection pass?

No. Cleaning and documentation support help you present recent maintenance, but Diamond Grade does not perform official inspections and does not guarantee fire or health department outcomes. Inspectors make their own determinations based on the full kitchen and applicable rules.

What is inspection preparation?

Inspection preparation is cleaning and readiness support ahead of a planned fire or health department visit. We help organize agreed exhaust cleaning work and, when included in the job, photos or service notes you can keep on file. It is not an official inspection service and does not guarantee results.

Documentation

What documentation may be provided after service?

When documentation is part of the job, we may provide before-and-after photos and service notes describing the areas cleaned. Exact documentation depends on the agreed scope. We do not issue official inspection certificates or guarantee how an inspector will interpret your records.

Service Areas

Which areas of West Virginia do you serve?

Diamond Grade is based in Charleston and schedules commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning for foodservice kitchens across West Virginia. Dedicated pages cover Charleston, Huntington, Morgantown, and Parkersburg. Other communities may be served when scheduling and travel allow—confirm availability for your address when you inquire.

Do you serve communities near your listed cities?

Nearby communities are often discussed when you request a quote, but we do not publish a guaranteed travel radius. Availability depends on schedule, access, and job scope. Contact us with your kitchen address so we can confirm whether we can serve your location.

Scheduling

Can service be scheduled outside normal business hours?

Our published office hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM. Cleaning visits for commercial kitchens are often coordinated around your service schedule. Tell us your preferred windows when you inquire—we will discuss what timing is available for your kitchen rather than promise a fixed after-hours guarantee.

What should a restaurant do before technicians arrive?

Clear the cooking line as much as practical, remove or protect loose items under the hood, confirm rooftop or access arrangements, and have a kitchen contact available to discuss scope. If filters are removable, note any that are damaged before the visit. Specific prep steps can be confirmed when your appointment is scheduled.

Pricing and Quotes

How do I request a quote?

Use the contact form on our website or call Diamond Grade during business hours. Share your city, kitchen type, and the exhaust work you need—hood, filters, grease ducts, fans, or inspection preparation—so we can follow up about scope and scheduling.

What information helps prepare a quote?

Helpful details include your city or address area, type of facility, cooking volume if known, which systems need attention (hood, filters, grease ducts, rooftop fans), rooftop or access notes, and any planned review date. Photos of the hood line or rooftop fan can also help us discuss scope more clearly.
